Sewer Lines Project - Opotiki District Council - 2019 (Ongoing)
Abbotts were awarded this project which required investigating the local sewer lines leading to the mainline council assets in order to determine any issues or faults within the lines. The investigation of these lines was then reported back to the council for assessment with recommendations from Abbotts on remedial works that were required.
The use of Abbotts CIPP lining system was just one methodology for repair recommended, in conjunction with excavations and traditional repairs from our certified drainlaying teams.
Technology played a large part in reporting straight from the field back to the council system via tablets updating them every step of the way of workflows, completed scopes of work and updating their records to the current year.
The different forms of repair worked stopped infiltration in to the mainline assets preventing additional flows that were putting additional pressure on the assets. The work is currently ongoing and is due to be completed in 2020.
